For the 2nd year in a row we enjoyed an amazing Montreux Jazz Festival campaign with 1000 fans, several key Swiss music professionals and a pack of curious Swiss journalist filling up the full Montreux Jazz Café club venue this Saturday (10 July). The night saw the 3 bands Cody, Kiss Kiss Kiss and Ginger Ninja give great performances, and as a result there is now overwhelming interest from the Swiss industry in terms of signing the 3 bands. Sony Music Switzerland for example decided to release Ginger Ninjas debut album "Wicked Map".
In terms of press exposure the Swiss radio (in both the French, German and Italian language communities covered the night) and the written press covered the night so extensively, that this SPOT ON DENMARK project statistically reached more than 3 million listeners and readers in a country which boasts 7.8 million inhabitants. Check out the official Montreux montage (http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xdztuu_spot-on-denmark-interviews-montreux_music) and these beautiful performances the 3 bands delivered on Swiss national radio from Montreux: Cody live on Swiss national radio La 1'ere (10 July 2010): Kiss Kiss Kiss live on Swiss national radio Couleur 3 (10 July 2010) Ginger Ninja live on Swiss national radio Couleur 3 (10 July 2010) |

Hell yeah SPOT ON DENMARK is heading to Montreux Jazz Festival for the second year in a row. Following this years amazing SPOT Festival in Denmark (which swimming in the Århus sun boasted new international music delegate, national delegate as well as ticket-buying-fan records) a Swiss music industry & press jury decided to bring home their highlights from the SPOT Festival. So dear Swiss friends, mark the 10th of July in your calenders... Montreux Jazz Festival, Le Matin, Toxic FM, 20 Minuten, Kanal K and Rockstar headed to Århus for the 16th edition of the SPOT Festival in Århus Denmark. With +120 cutting edge Danish and Nordic bands on the bill this group of Swiss music industry sector pros went on a treasure hunt to find and bring home their 3 favorite new Danish artists. Mission accomplished! On Saturday the 10th of July 2010 the Montreux Jazz Café will be boasting a line-up of the most promising new Danish artists: CODY (22:00 - 22:40)
Magical songwriting that doesn't leave a single beating heart cold

GINGER NINJA (00:00 - 00:40)
